The Passion of the Holy Apostle Matthias
The Apostle Matthias was born in Bethlehem, and from an early age he studied the holy books and the law of God in Jerusalem under the guidance of St. Simeon the God-bearer. From him St. Matthias was instructed in virtuous living: he led a godly life, strictly following the path outlined in the commandments of God.
